Noa’s East Nashville Itinerary for Couples

Noa’s East Nashville Itinerary for Couples

There's no universal way to describe Nashville. Many say it’s a blend of Austin's live-music scene, Vegas’s after-dark energy, and the soulful indulgence you’d find in New Orleans. Now picture that infused with artsy Brooklyn and distilled into one endlessly walkable region, and you have a little corner of the world best explored by two. This is East Nashville’s alchemy.

Located just across the river from downtown's honky-tonk crowds, East Nashville is a hip, eclectic respite free of tourist-trap gloss. Ask any Nashvillian what the vibe is like in East Nashville, and they'll likely mention a restaurant roster earning national recognition, historic neighborhoods boasting jaw-dropping architecture, an area that attracts the artists and the sophisticates, and a neighborhood with its own music scene woven in for good measure. Add sprawling green spaces, independent boutiques, and murals just begging to become your new profile pic, and it's easy to see why travelers return again and again to this, the coolest part of Nashville.

For couples who’ve finally carved out some time to spend together over a multi-day getaway, you won’t run out of things to do. And if you’d rather stay in, Noa has you covered, too.

A private, gated boutique sanctuary minutes from Five Points, Noa Nashville feels worlds away from the cookie-cutter hotel room scene. Spacious, sun-filled interiors showcase a chef's kitchen made for slow mornings and romantic meals. Each townhome features 4 bedrooms, each with its own spa-inspired ensuite. Step outside to amenities worthy of a wellness retreat: a heated pool, sauna, cold plunge, and a rustic-chic fire pit for quiet evenings under the stars. Noa is the serenity just moments from the action in East Nashville, and we’ve made it all easy for you to find with a curated itinerary.

For couples seeking the very best things to do in East Nashville, we’ve got a plan that’s big on indulgence without all the downtown noise. From standout East Nashville bars to quiet mornings on your patio and afternoons by the pool, consider this your locally-minded travel guide for four unforgettable days, bookended by the comfort of your private retreat at Noa.

Day 1: Thursday

4:00 PM – Check in and Make Yourselves at Home

Place your bags in your glorious townhome bedroom and head directly to the chef's kitchen, where champagne, cheeses, and charcuterie await in the fridge. A fresh baguette sits on the counter, and crackers are tucked away in the cupboard. When you arrange for the items you prefer to be stocked in your townhome when you make your reservation, our Noa team is happy to oblige. From your favorite snacks and beverages to the wines you love and other personal touches, we want this to be a getaway or your very own, and we’re always at your service.

Now, we toast!

To an incredible next few days in Nashville lingering over exceptional meals, exploring Five Points and the surrounding neighborhoods, relaxing poolside for hours on end, taking in some pretty great music, and returning to your own private luxury retreat.

7:30 PM – Dinner With a View at The Hampton Social Rooftop, 201 1st Ave. S. (~10-minute drive from Noa, $$$)

Start date night above the city at The Hampton Social's rooftop, an indoor-outdoor dining and cocktail destination overlooking downtown Nashville. Coastal-inspired dishes, handcrafted cocktails, the restaurant's signature rosé, and unobstructed skyline views create an appropriately celebratory first night in Music City.

9:30 PM – Live Music at The Basement East, 917 Woodland St. (~5-minute drive from Noa, $$)

Trade a rooftop view for East Nashville's quintessential basement. Affectionately known as "The Beast," The Basement East is an intimate neighborhood venue where live music is a rolling theme. Catch Americana, indie, alternative, rock, country, and plenty of other acts and music genres (some of which defy classification, in the very best way).

Check the calendar before your trip and book tickets if something special catches your eye. Alternatively, ask our team at Noa what’s happening while you’re in town and book tickets. We’re only a few minutes away.

Day 2: Friday

9:30 AM – Coffee and Breakfast at Frothy Monkey East Nashville, 1701 Fatherland St. (~10-minute drive from Noa, $$)

Start the day with locally roasted coffee and breakfast at Frothy Monkey, an East Nashville institution in the heart of the Lockeland Springs neighborhood. The all-day café serves breakfast alongside fresh-baked goods. It’s also a great place for lunch and dinner, featuring an extensive drink menu.

 10:30 AM – Explore the Fatherland District, 129 S 11th St. (~5-minute walk from Noa, $$)

Spend the rest of the morning wandering one of Noa’s neighboring districts. Fatherland brings together independent boutiques, locally designed jewelry, and vintage finds. This highly walkable pocket of East Nashville also features notable street art and colorful community murals.

Wander, browse, and dash into one of the little boutiques to make a secret purchase you’ll surprise your partner with later over drinks or dinner.

12:00 PM – Lunch at Radish Kitchen, 900 Main St. (10-minute walk from Noa, $$)

Keep lunch fresh, healthy, and relatively light because an exceptionally relaxing afternoon awaits. Radish Kitchen specializes in colorful salads, grain bowls, and wraps, featuring seasonal ingredients and house-made dressings. There are plenty of creative marinades and dips to choose from to customize your meal. Go nuts!

1:30 PM – Couples Massage at Luxe & Luna Boutique Spa, 812 51st Ave. N. (~15-minute drive from Noa, $$)

Now for some serious relaxation. Luxe & Luna is a luxury boutique spa specializing in elevated skincare and body treatments, including massages designed specifically for two.

Choose 60, 90, or even 120 minutes and melt into your Luxe Massage, Swedish & Deep Tissue massage, or whatever speaks to your soul. Insider tip: Couples massages can be difficult to reserve online, so this is an ideal experience to arrange in advance. Ask the Noa team to help coordinate your appointment before you arrive, and we’ll ensure everything is exactly to your liking. Here’s to the good life!

3:30 PM – A Pool, Sauna, and Cold Plunge Oasis

After a relaxing massage, what better plan than to relax some more? Head back to Noa for a languid afternoon by the pool. Stretch out together, connect, compare notes, and soak in your beautiful resort surroundings. Take in a sauna and follow that with a cold plunge, because in a couple of hours, you’re heading out to experience a genuine East Nashville treat.

5:30 PM – Cocktails at Urban Cowboy Public House, 103 N. 16th St. (~5-minute drive from Noa, $$)

Start your night out on one of East Nashville's favorite patios. Hidden behind Urban Cowboy's Victorian mansion, the Public House pairs an award-winning food concept with cocktails and a vibrant, rustic-chic outdoor space. Become part of the “see-and-be-seen” atmosphere, order one of their signature drinks (Botanical Basil Gimlet, anyone?), and enjoy the fun.

7:30 PM – Dinner at The Treehouse Nashville, 1011 Clearview Ave. (~8-minute walk from Noa (also within walking distance of Urban Cowboy), $$)

The Treehouse is tailor-made for date night. Set inside a converted East Nashville home in Five Points, it's intimate, welcoming, and sufficiently removed from conventional restaurant design to make dinner feel like a truly special occasion.

Begin with a “Gettin’ Spritzy With It” cocktail and enjoy a gorgeous, seasonally informed menu. It’s a treehouse for grownups and offers a great taste of East Nashville too.

9:30 PM – Let the Bartender Decide at Attaboy, 8 McFerrin Ave. (~9-minute walk from Noa, $$)

So here’s a cool concept. Forget the classic cocktails and choose from the heart. At Attaboy, you tell the bartender what would strike your fancy in the moment, your favorite spirits, and even what kind of mood you’re in, and they’ll match that all up with your very own cocktail. This is a first-come, first-served outpost that doesn’t accept resos, so prepare to let loose and go with the flow. You’re on vacation after all, and isn’t that the definition of any great getaway?

Enjoy a lovely walk home together to Noa (whenever you feel like it).

Day 3: Saturday

9:30 AM – Breakfast at Bongo East, 107 S. 11th St. (~7-minute walk from Noa, $)

Ready for a little friendly competition over a rich cup of 100% organic coffee, latte, or cappuccino? You’re both going to love Bongo. Part coffeehouse, part casual cafe, Bongo offers a library of hundreds of board games free to play. How about a round of Scrabble? (Download your solver app beforehand…)

11:00 AM – Treasure Hunting for Records at Grimey’s New & Preloved Music, 1060 E. Trinity Ln. (~10-minute drive from Noa, $$)

When in Music City…

Grimey’s is Nashville's premier independent record store, with new releases, preloved vinyl, CDs, books, collectibles, and the occasional in-store performance. Give yourselves an hour to flip through the bins, introduce each other to your all-time favorite albums, and maybe quiz each other on music trivia. This is a long-standing favorite among Nashvillians, and sure to become one of yours, too.

12:15 PM – Lunch at The PickUp, 1225 Brick Church Pike (~10-minute drive from Noa, $ - $$)

Enjoy a rotating lineup of food trucks and be part of a relatively new sensation on the foodie scene. Everyone loves a food truck! Choose from Vietnamese food, good ol’ fashioned comfort food, Chicago-style hot dogs, chicken wings and baked goods; the list goes on. It's casual, local, and an excellent counterpoint to the more polished meals on your getaway.

1:30 PM – Paddle the Cumberland with Cumberland Kayak, 2 Victory Ave. (~10-minute drive from Noa, $$)

Time to get out on the water while the season is still warm. Enjoy a totally new perspective on the city and breathe in the natural stillness surrounding you. It’s part recreation and part meditation out there. And a great Insta opp.

3:45 PM Time for Ice Cream at Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, 1892 Eastland Ave. (~5-minute drive from Noa, $)

This is where holiday romance meets the romance of nostalgia. Jeni’s is a popular local favorite for its unique, artisanal flavors, high-end ingredients, and ice cream with the smooth, rich texture you won’t find in a value tub. Toast again! But this time with cones.

5:30 PM – Cocktails at The Fox Bar & Cocktail Club, 2905B Gallatin Pike (~7-minute drive from Noa, $$)

An exceptional choice for couples, The Fox Bar offers a dark, romantic ambiance away from the chaos that often defines Music City. Treat yourselves to top-tier craft cocktails and enjoy the friendly, welcoming service. Prepare for a dinner extraordinaire…

7:30 PM – Dinner at Noko, 701 Porter Rd. (~5-minute drive from Noa, $$$)

Noko is a popular, Asian inspired wood-fired restaurant with the perfect date-night atmosphere. Blending high-end food and a share-style menu, we’re betting you’ll get as lost in the incredible epicurean experience as you will in the energetic vibe and warm hospitality.

Insider tip: Reservations are strongly recommended, especially on a Saturday night. If Noko will be part of your vacation plans, have our staff make the reservation for you. Let us know at the time of your booking, and we’ll take care of the rest.

10:00 PM – Can’t Miss Honky Tonk Highway (~10-minute drive from Noa, $ - $$)

You can’t spend a romantic weekend in Nashville without a visit to Broadway! This is where live music pours into the streets from the many bars and stages dotting the thoroughfare. Take in the neon, the twang, and the pure talent as you wander from venue to venue. There’s generally no cover charge, but tipping your musician is much appreciated.

Day 4: Sunday

8:30 AM – A Goodbye Breakfast at Snooze, an A.M. Eatery, 969 Main St. (~10-minute walk from Noa, $$)

One of the best in town, Snooze opens early on the weekends and features stacks of pancakes, incredible eggs Benny, breakfast tacos, and more. The coffee’s also great, so you’re in for a restorative morning before heading back to Noa.

10:00 AM – Check Out of Noa, But Stay in East Nashville for a Little Longer

If you’re not traveling directly home, spend the later morning walking through Shelby Bottoms Nature & Greenway, where trails, wetlands, and woods bump up against the Cumberland River.

If you’re both golfers, reserve a tee time (or have our staff do that for you) at Shelby Golf Course, a beautiful venue that winds through the rolling landscapes. Afterward, wander back to the Five Points neighborhood to find that place you love. It’s about a 30-to-40-minute walk, so if the golf was enough, Uber is always a quick ping away.
